On December 6, 2025, Nina Lee (nee Stoneking) passed away peacefully at home. Born in Auburn, West Virginia and a graduate of Glenville High School, she married William H. Johnson, Jr. of Parkersburg, WV in North Syracuse, NY. Moving to Cherry Hill in 1964, Nina Lee had been a longtime resident and worked as a teacher’s aide at Joyce Kilmer Elementary School and volunteered at PAWS Farm in Mount Laurel as well as the Camden County Library where her warmth and kindness touched many lives. A lover of local wildlife, Nina Lee had her property certified as a wildlife habitat in 1995 by the National Wildlife Federation.
Nina Lee was predeceased by her loving husband William in 2006, her sister, Dorothy Marcelene Goodwin of Parkersburg, WV in 2014 and her brother, Jack Stoneking of Vienna, WV in 2017.
She is survived by her children, William D. Johnson of West Palm Beach, FL, Sharon A. Piddington of Maple Shade, NJ, Suzanne E. Pribish of Morrisville, PA and James M. Johnson of Kaneohe, HI.
Nina Lee’s grandchildren include Andeliene Croce, David Croce, Jr., Jana Lyn Mack (nee Croce), Kristin Gamble (nee Johnson), James Piddington, Kyle Piddington, Kimberly Johnson, Matthew Johnson and Michael Johnson; her great grandchildren include Christopher, Connor and Abigail Mack, Chloe and Savannah Gamble, and Saya Piddington.
Funeral services will be held privately.
